Hi everyone; For 12 incredible years an amazing man has run my website. I have been so unbelievably lucky to have Kamil's faith in my career and my life and to have his dedication in keeping this site running. No matter how busy he was or what he was dealing with in his life, Kamil was always there for me. I am so proud to know him and to call him my friend. I completely understand his need to move on and focus on the many wonderful parts of his life and his new adventures. As I said to him, " I can't believe you have done this for so long and have done it so well and with such love. I am truly, truly blessed." I will miss his deft touch with all things Internet. Especially as I am such a Luddite! But I am so proud that my dear and wonderful friend Julia and her amazing partner in crime, Peter, have volunteered to take over. How LUCKY am I??! This website is built with love. It is maintained with love. It is fueled and fostered and visited and encouraged with love. Thank you my wonderful Kamil for all your years of dedication and for your friendship. You are such a blessing in my life. And Thank you Julia and Peter for taking this on. You are clearly both completely insane and I am so grateful! Love, Love, Love. Much love to all, Amanda xxxxxx

Hello everyone, I have an announcement to make, which will count as one of the important decisions I have taken in my life. With heavy heart and after much consideration, I have decided to step down as the webmaster of the website. The website is therefore and henceforth handed over, on Amanda's accord, to Julia Hague, who, from today on will assume the responsibilities of the webmaster. I know this is a big step and big news and I can assure you it was not taken lightly. There has been serious discussion between myself and Amanda about who should be the runner of the website from now on. It was very important that whoever does take up the responsibilities of the webmaster at AmandaTapping.Com, they would have Amanda's implicit trust. After considering various options - regarding time needed to run a website as large as this and with the number of member it has - it has been decided that Julia Hague with the help of her husband Peter (who will manage the more technical side of the website) will assume the duties of the website-runner. I also feel everyone here has the right to know the reasons for my departure. Whilst running this place in the web, I very obviously have had my own professional life (teacher's) happening at the same time. For a long time, it had been perfectly doable to do both - manning the website and running my professional life at the same time. My personal life developments this year added to the general lack of times for computers in general. :) However, in the last two-three years, it has been getting more and more difficult. This current year, I have come to a point where it became simply impossible to take care of the website properly. It was a question of whether I run the website in a very superficial/poor quality manner or do I pass it on to somebody who can do it properly and well; the way Amanda deserves. Hence my decision. I would like to thank everyone for coming back to the website, staying loyal to Amanda, making this website what it truly is. I truly believe that Amanda's fandom is as important here as Amanda herself. When I was starting the website back in late 90s, I couldn't possibly have know what adventure I was up to. I have made enormous amount of friends, met some incredible and impressive people, including Amanda and her lovely fans that I could meet at conventions and other events. I have witnessed Amanda's charitable organisation grow and took pride in how she went on to support Nepal Orphans Home, the organisation I have personally worked with. I am grateful to her and all of you who have donated even a penny to this cause. My life has changed in so many years since I started running the website and taking care of Amanda's internet outpost - only for the better. Thank you, thank you and thank you. It is time for me to move on, though, and hand the website over into the very capable hands of Julia and her husband. I will still be in the background and you might occasionally hear from me. I wish the new webmaster all the best in taking care of the site. Best of luck to everyone and thank you for the last 12 years! Over to you, Julia! Kamil Trzebiatowski (Ex-webmaster of AmandaTapping.Com & Teacher of English in Middlesex, England)

Hello! It is a bit late in coming this year, I do know that, but we still have over a week to go. Let's send Amanda Christmas greetings! It's far more straightforward this year. I have set up a guestbook where you can leave your entries. The guestbook uses the same script as the main guestbook on our site. You can simply write your message and leave it there. You will need to wait until your entry is approved. Currently, the Christmas guestbook uses a generic template. Leave your messages there and over the next week, the design and template will be updated to reflect the Christmas mood and feeling. The link to the Christmas guestbook: http://www.amandatapping.com/SpecialOccasions/Christmas2009/ Our regular posting rules apply: 1. Your message has to be written and addressed TO AMANDA. Please do not write anything of the "could you wish Amanda happy birthday?" sort. I will not be rephrasing your messages. 2. You have to refrain from asking any questions. This is a birthday card of sorts, not an interview. Any questions you might ask in your letter (e.g. "What will happen in Sanctuary's season 2?" will be deleted). 3. Please go through your letter / message before you send it out. Please remember to use capital letters. Any online / mobile phrases such as "u" or "cu" will be changed to full words. If you wish to save me some work, please write in full English. Your names and with no exceptions Amanda's name have to be capitalised. If you are not English and do not speak/write English as your first language, it is understandable that you can make some mistakes, but capital letters you need to remember about. 4. Deadline is: December 22, 2009. All the entries will be approved (or in minority of cases - I hope, rejected) on December 23, 2009. It will be on December 23, 2009, when I will send the link to the pages to Amanda. No exceptions (I need Christmas, too. <g>) 5. Finally, I reserve the right to refuse a message to be included in the greetings. These would usually involve rude language, inappropriate comments or a user/visitor being disrespectful. This has happened very rarely in the past, however, so do not worry! 6. Have fun! And Merry Christmas!

Sanctuary For Kids Charity Initiative The major event has come at last! After many months of meticulous preparation and commitment, Amanda has started (as of today) her charity initiative - Sanctuary For Kids! Sanctuary for Kids is a not-for-profit organization that raises money for international and local children's charities, which support youth and children who are in crisis. Grown from the TV series, Sanctuary, Sanctuary for Kids will provide access to rare and experience-based auction items from the TV series to raise funds for its chosen charities. This year S4K is supporting two organizations: the Nepal Orphans Home (http://www.nepalorphanshome.org/), which attends to the welfare of children in Nepal who are orphaned, abandoned or not supported by their parents; and Watari's TTIP and TIPPY programs (http://www.watari.org/about_us.html), which work with the homeless youth population in Vancouver to help single and pregnant and parenting youth in safe, affordable housing and encourage commitment to their treatment plans. The auctions coming up the soonest, in November 2009, according to the Sanctuary For Kids official website, are: - Ebay.Com auctions - November 12 (9pm PST) to November 22, 2009 (9pm PST): (a) 20 minute Skype Chat with Amanda, (b) Sanctuary set tour and lunch with Amanda for winner and three friends, (c) Sonic Stunner (a Sanctuary prop to win), (d) opportunity to name a character on Sanctuary!
- Upcoming GABIT AT4 Convention in London, United Kingdom (November 13 to November 15, 2009 - proceeds from the auction at the event will go directly to Sanctuary For Kids.
Please visit the Sanctuary For Kids website for more information. AmandaTapping.Com has been involved in playing a small part in this project from scratch. In collaboration with Sanctuary For Kids, we have set up a forum (please follow the links below) to provide a place and safe haven for you to discuss causes you champion, charities you feel passionate about, reasons why you feel strongly about aiding others and being involved in charities and sharing your charity-related stories - and make connections with other people all over the world based on that. The forum is called Community Charity Forum. The Forum is completely endorsed by Sanctuary For Kids. You need to register there separately from this website. On top of that, we have set up a web page which is to serve as a catalogue of charities. These are your local charities, beyond the ones supported by S4K. Feel free to post them there (no membership or registration required) and hopefully, this will help create a massive directory of organizations all over the world that you care about with causes you care about. Within the directory, you will find links to the forum. Please keep in mind that neither of these pages is about discussing Amanda's career - they are strictly about your discussion of charities and helping those less fortunate in this world - thus please refrain from discussing Amanda's work there. We hope for a lot of connections made based on what charities you support and what causes you champion. We wish Sanctuary For Kids to have a successful start, followed by many years of successful operation, helping children all over the world lead better, easier and more successful lives! Let Amanda's spirit - spirit of good will and random acts of kindness - prevail!
