CONVENTION Avalon 2006 Location: Wells, Somerset, UK Date: November 24-26, 2006   Amanda made an appearance in Wells, near Bristol in the UK at a convention, together with Richard Dean Anderson. It was a relatively small event in a small and quiet town. The event took place over the course of 3 days and included both Amanda and Richard Dean Anderson doing photoshoots, Q and A sessions, charity auctions in venues such as The Bishop's Palace, Wells Cathedral and Wells Town Hall. CONVENTION Gabit: AT2 Location: London, UK Date: November 17-19, 2006   Amanda appeared at the second edition of the highly successful, professionally run Gabit convention event. Held at the Mariott's Renaissance Hotel, London, near the Heathrow Airport, this Amanda's own event programme included Amanda signing a number of autographs, answering fan questions and running charity auctions. HOST Gemini Awards Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Date: November 4, 2006 Amanda hosted a special presentation of awards (Pre-Show), immediately followed by an hour-long programme of additional awards. The presentation of awards involved her uncovering the nominees and winners names alongside with Shawn Ashmore (Ged in Legend of Earthsea). The event was aired originally on Global TV in Canada. HOST FMA Vancouver 2006 Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Date: September 30, 2006   Amanda appeared as a Master of Ceremony, together with Richard Dean Anderson, at this successful benefit charity gala event, uniting live music with live runway fashion and live artistic performance on the same stage. Fashion houses showed their collections, painting performances accompanied by music were presented, with interludes filled with acrobats, breakdancers and even flames spinners. Art, fashion and music were combined together with the aim of raising money for local Vancouver and BC charities. An album of pictures from the event is located here. LINK

CONVENTION Shore Leave 28 Location: Baltimore, Maryland, US Date: July 7-9, 2006   Amanda made an appearance at the Shore Leave, a fan run science fiction convention, accompanied by Corin Nemec and Carmen Argenziano. HOST Leo Awards 2006 Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Date: May 13, 2006   Amanda appeared as one of the presenters for Leo Awards 2006.

GUEST Canadian Cancer Society 10th Annual Ball Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Date: April 1, 2006   Canadian Cancer Society is an organization whose sole mission is to eradicate cancer in Canada as much as possible. The Diamond Ball is a black-tie formal occasion designed specifically to raise funds for fighting cancer. Amanda agreed to participate in the event.
