Canadian Comedy Awards

In August, Amanda became nominated for 2007 Canadian Comedy Award for her work on John Bolton's short film Breakdown.

Now Amanda has won the award.Congratulations! It is definitely worth mentioning that one of Amanda's co-nominees was well-known Canadian comedienne Catherine O'Hara. Amanda received the word of her having won the award while on the set of Stargate Atlantis.

SyFy Genre Awards

Amanda received, after being nominated first, two awards from the SyFy Portal for two different projects. One is for Best Actress on Stargate SG-1 after playing Samantha Carter for 10 years and the other is in the category of Best Web Presentation for the series she stars in and executive produces Sanctuary.

Vidfest (Vancouver International Digital Festival)

Together with her partners and producers working on the production of Sanctuary, Amanda appeared at the Vancouver International Film Centre for a special presentation and promotion for the online show that she produces. On offer were speaking panels from both Amanda and other producers as well as special viewings of the HD shot series.

Amanda appeared in San Diego for a convention together with some of her friends from the Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis set including Jewel Staite, Christopher Judge and Ben Browder. The schedule of the event included Q&A panels and autograph signings.
