Dear Amanda, From another mature firsttime mom...My very sincere Congratulations on your baby girl! I have enjoyed following your pregnancy, thought you looked great on StarGate and have sent many good vibes for your health. At three weeks, Olivia is probably just about to the "waking up" point. So, I hope for your sake that she will be a better sleeper than my 19-month-old son. He has just started sleeping through the night. My bit of unsolicited advice is to 1) Take a zillion pictures because babies change so much week to week, even day to day; And, 2) Since you are in a position to...hire a great nanny and then, of course, spend as much time as possible with the baby ;) Going back to work (even parttime) will help you retain who you are, not to mention your sanity :0) Your true fans will certainly understand whatever decisions you make in the future.
